Using kkamagi with Google
Kkamagi connects directly from your Mac to the Gemini Live API using the API key for your Google project. Kkamagi does not operate a relay server.
How it connects
The native kkamagi macOS app connects from your Mac to the Gemini Live API over WebSocket. Kkamagi does not operate a relay server.
Your API key
You create and supply an API key for your Google project. Kkamagi stores the selected key in macOS Keychain.
- Kkamagi does not include your literal key or authenticated connection URL in page source or logs.
Audio and response flow
While interpretation is on, capturable system audio can be sent to Google. Translated audio and transcript responses return to the app.
- Kkamagi does not save original or translated audio as files.
Billing and provider data handling
Gemini API usage is managed and billed under your Google project according to Google's current terms; it is not included with kkamagi access.
Provider data handling can differ by service or billing status. Use Google's current billing information and terms below for the current rules.
