Using kkamagi with OpenAI
Kkamagi connects directly from your Mac to the OpenAI Realtime API using your OpenAI API key. Kkamagi does not operate a relay server.
How it connects
The native kkamagi macOS app connects from your Mac to the OpenAI Realtime API. Kkamagi does not operate a relay server.
Your API key
You create and supply an OpenAI API key. Kkamagi stores the selected key in macOS Keychain and uses it only for a session with the selected provider.
Audio and response flow
While interpretation is on, capturable system audio can be sent to OpenAI. Translated audio and transcript responses return to the app.
- Kkamagi does not save original or translated audio as files.
Billing and provider data handling
OpenAI API usage is managed and billed under your OpenAI account according to OpenAI's current terms; it is not included with kkamagi access.
